May 2018 UPDATE

During DEC-APRIL the most common crime was theft from vehicles. Please ensure you remove all tools and valuables from your vehicles if possible.

There were 8 vehicles stolen in the area – one after the thieves used a hook to retrieve the keys from the hallway via the letterbox. Please ensure you keep keys well out of reach.

Sheds were again targeted with bikes and fishing equipment among the items stolen.

Our Police Crime Commissioner is running his public engagement program 'Listening to You' for 2017-18 and would greatly appreciate your views on issues such as safety and other issues affecting our local area. If you have a few minutes to spare, you can share your views anonymously via the PCC website.

We will shortly be distributing a newsletter around the village with a few updates regarding our scheme. Listed will be the contact details for your Street Co-Ordinator. Please keep these details handy, to enable you to contact us regarding any issues regarding crime in the village. We now have back up from a team based at St Mary's Wharf who can assist us on your behalf.

Please remember, 101 is the number for reporting non-urgent crimes, i.e. shed break ins etc. If you feel you are at risk in any way, by being threatened or intimidated, please dial 999.
